Horsetooth Mountain Park

Project Background

The Horsetooth Mountain Park project, funded by the Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed (CPRW) and implemented by the Larimer County fuels crew, treated 25 acres of forest within the Park. The goal was to reduce ladder fuels and tree density in a drainage directly to the west of Horsetooth Reservoir.  All trees smaller than 4 inches in diameter and/or less than 20 feet tall were cut in the treatment area.
