Letter from the Director
Dear Friends, Partners, and Supporters of the Poudre:
As we reflect on the past year, I am proud to share the progress, challenges, and continued growth of the Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed (CPRW). Our mission - to improve and maintain the ecological health of the Poudre River watershed through community collaboration - remains as vital and urgent as ever.
Over the last year, we have deepened our partnerships, expanded our restoration projects, and engaged more members of our community in caring for our watershed. Together with landowners, agency partners, scientists, and volunteers, CPRW continues to serve as a hub for collaborative watershed resilience work.
We continued to implement vital post-fire restoration and reforestation across the Cameron Peak burn area, we reduced wildfire risk on over 80 acres of forest land, we engaged over 5,800 members of the community, and we received a joint $9.7 million Community Wildfire Defense Grant with Larimer County Office of Emergency Management to implement Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPPs) in four mountain communities.
CPRW is committed to ensuring that our watershed continues to thrive - not just for today, but for generations to come. I want to express my gratitude to our board of directors, staff, volunteers, donors, and partners. Your continued support fuels our mission and makes this work possible. Thank you for being part of our growing community of watershed stewards.
With appreciation and commitment,
Hally Strevey, Executive Director
