Help collect ponderosa pine cones to reforest burn areas of the Poudre Watershed!

Join the Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed (CPRW) and Tellus to collect ponderosa pine cones so we have enough local seed to plant trees in areas impacted by wildfires.

The Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed (CPRW) and partners are working to reforest areas of the Poudre Watershed that have been negatively impacted by wildfires and we need your help!

As part of our collaborative reforestation efforts, we are in need of local seed. Ponderosa pine cone collection is very time sensitive and our recent trips to the field indicate that cones are ready for collecting. The seed from these cones will be grown in local tree nurseries and, once they are mature enough, seedlings will be planted in the High Park and Cameron Peak burn areas. Be a part of a community effort to reforest our watershed!
