This is a multi-objective planning and design/build project that will further river resiliency goals on the Cache la Poudre River, while providing immediate benefits to local ditch companies.

Project Goals & Benefits

  • Develop a 30% design for fish passage for the Whitney and B.H. Eaton Diversion structures on the Cache la Poudre River that will benefit native fish without impinging on water rights/decreed deliveries

  • Complete an engineering assessment of the walkway at the Whitney diversion structure

  • Design-build a small restoration project for 600-700 feet of the stream side/riparian area between the Whitney and B.H. Eaton structures with minimal disturbance to existing habitat

  • Enhance aquatic and riparian habitats

  • Engage local stakeholders in the design process for the reach
