Jackie and Abby will provide an overview of the top 3 laws and permits that may apply to your proposed restoration project: (1) the updated USACE Nationwide 27 Permit adopted March 15, 2026, (2) Colorado's new Regulation 87, a state-wide dredge and fill program that mostly mirrors the USACE 404 permit program, and (3) SB23-270, Projects to Restore Natural Stream Systems, legislation that was passed to address how restoration projects may proceed without being subject to water rights administration. The presentation will be framed with an on-the-ground practitioner perspective, highlighting practical considerations, common questions, and pathways to keep restoration moving forward. The session is intended to build shared understanding, reduce uncertainty, and support successful, compliant restoration across Colorado's headwaters and watersheds.
